My responsibilities at The Schools of McKeel Academy center around creating custom applications for school-based needs, including student and staff record management, lesson planning, purchasing, discipline, transportation, and help desk support. I work primarily with PHP, Laravel, JQuery, and MySQL.
I taught high school math and science for three years, and high school and adult test prep and credit recovery for two years. I also regularly performed data analytics to assist the school with targeting students for specific curriculums. I worked primarily with Microsoft Office, but I also used plenty of education software, like SMART Technologies and the student information systems Genesis, Pinnacle, and Focus.
Before teaching from the front of a classroom, I tutored high school and adult students in various levels of math and science, including Calculus, College Algebra, Trigonometry, and Physics.
For a few summers during college, I passed out business cards and worked with local residential clients to help troubleshoot, debug and otherwise optimize their PCs. This required a strong knowledge of general computer skills and customer service.
My first job, based almost entirely in customer service. I was promoted to Key Technician, responsible for performing maintenance on and service calls to the game machines.
